Tension

Who on earth hasn't felt the "weight of the world" on their shoulders. We can all reach back to the shoulder blade area and feel the tenderness or pain in that area during times of stress. You might also notice that your shoulders are lifted up towards your neck and are tight. We cannot breath fully when we keep our shoulders high. This is why Mary said, over and over, "Drop the shoulders and just be the breath".

Stand By Me - The Connection of the Spirit

My friend, Michelle, sent this video clip to me from Playing for Change called Stand by Me. No celebrities here, just real people making music across the world. Through the journey of the Playing for Change technicians, these creative finger and voices were recorded and brought together as one. This music video is the manifestation of what is actually occurring all of the time; the connection of the human spirit across time and space.

Mary Burmeister said "The best any teacher can do is to remind you of what you already know. This video reminded me that we are all a part of the whole. We are all that is. Thank you Playing for Change for reminding us who we really are - We are everyone and everything! We are the creative play of the Universe.

It's Spring!

I love it when Spring comes and the earth comes back to life, especially here in Kentucky where the winters can be brown and dreary. In Jin Shin Jyutsu we think of spring as the depth where heaven and earth are in harmony. 3rd Depth is Liver function energy. Paracelsus said that the liver is the closest to the creator that man can conceive of. Mary Burmeister said that Liver function energy flow helps emotionally "frozen" people thaw....just like the warmth of the first spring rain. We can hold our middle finger to harmonize this energy. Some people hold the center finger up in anger - - is it because they don't feel the connection between the heavens and themselves and raise it to connect???
